My buddies Chris and Dustin run a skateboard company called GoldCoast. They decided that with their 2011 catalog, they’d add to it a little zine called The Compadre. They are big on film, art, and travel, and this zine helps visualize a little bit what their brand and steez is all about.
They asked various friends and artists to contribute a little somethin’ somethin’. I was lucky enough to be one of those asked. (Since I’m seven years old, I did the monkey piece that references poop and pee.) It’ll be hitting your local shop soon, but Chris dropped me off a copy, so here is a little sneak peek. It came out looking super tasty. Dustin killed the layout, type, and colors.
The High Highs are from Australia. I like this song. It sounds like fancy wind.

Gaspar Noe’s Enter The Void is one of the hardest movies to get through that I have ever experienced. What is an absolutely fascinating concept gets drawn out and ultimately becomes tired and monotonous. I imagine that if you cheesed and watched this movie, it’d be incredible. I didn’t have any cats handy so the movie made me depressed and bored after a while. It would have been stunning as a short film, I think. Though I can’t pass full judgement on the film, as I’ve only gotten about 2/3rds through its 2 1/2 hours.
Anyways, the opening credits are some of the most gorgeous things that I’ve ever seen. They are a typographic assault on your senses and I loved every epileptic second of them.
Sorry, sexy readers, for my absentee-father-like blogging as of late. The top secret Steadyclappin headquarters were being relocated. However, now that I have successfully moved my extensive Snuggie and vintage Cheezit box collections safely, my half-retarded step child of an excuse of a blog can get back up to its normal schedule of posting whenever the hell I feel like it.
Go ahead and click on pixels and make some music. I just made a beat that got every girl in my building pregnant.
